The Marvelous Month of May

May was so big for us on the farm, that is has taken me half of June to sit down and write about it! I already told you a little about the soccer champioship, so without further adieu, here is MAY, as seen thru the lens of my camera:

Calf Creek Trip

Fun stuff along the way

State Track Tournament at BYU
Jens qualified for 2 events - the 4X100 Relay (his team took 2nd) and the Shotput (which he was throwing on his recently mended arm) and he took 5th, I didn't get pictures of him competing, but here's a cute one of Jens and some random, really handsome guy waiting for the next event.

This is Jordie, Leah and a friend, right after the elementary's MayDay festivities, Jordie danced the Maypole (and had to hold a girl's hand!)which is a kind of right of passage for kids graduating from elementary in to middle school. All of my kids but one have danced the Maypole. I've watched the other 5 with a big lump in my throat. Next year, when Leah dances, I'm sure I will unleash and cry like the big baby I am.

Seminary and Highschool Graduation
Yeah!!!! Yippeeee Skippeee! Major Frivolity and Celebration!!! To sum it up in two words : "Good Times"

I know what you're thinking at this point "This is the end of the blog - how could anyone possibly fit anymore activities into one short month" am I right, or am I right? Of course I'm right! After all of the above, we still had our
MEXICAN VACATION
to look forward to. Yes, we braved the drug cartels and the swine flu, and had the most wonderful 5 days at the Sandos Playacar just south of Cancun. We paraglided, swam in the ocean, won beach volleyball tournaments, toured Book of Mormon ruins, and fell in love with the locals and room service. Take a look:

Yours truly, poolside, with a wonderful novel, wondering why everyday can't be like this

Rachael wondering the same thing

Home grown Luchadores, Watch out, Nacho!

Chichen Itza

Swimming in the cenote (underground pool)

Rachie and Leah saved their money and got to swim with dolphins, manatees, and sea lions. This is Rachie being pushed up out of the water by two dolphins who have their noses on the bottom of her feet.

Leah getting kissed by a manatee

Mom's happy spot, the spaahhh!

Views around the resort

So, if you asked us if it was the best family vacation ever, we would have to say "Si!"

May was definitely marvelous. Adios!
